Daily Musings 44 “ready to pivot”

They kept telling us to be ready to pivot to online learning at any given moment. Well that moment was this afternoon and I’m not at all ready. I’m not sure when exactly I was supposed to get ready.

I found out what grade I’d be teaching the same week school started. During the third week of school I found out I was being deployed to virtual school but had been ‘saved’ and was moving to kindergarten.

I’ve been with my current students for just shy of three weeks. And now we’re going virtual for the next two weeks because someone in our class has tested positive for Covid-19.

I’m not ready to submit report cards tomorrow nor am I ready for virtual learning.

Oh well 🤷🏾‍♀️ One thing at a time. No more, no less.
