Daily Musings 40 “settling in”

My students love to dance. I love to dance too so this gives me great joy. Kindergarten, Covid-19 style is a pretty sad first experience of school, but it is what it is and the little ones know no better. This is what I have to remind myself regularly. In the meantime we’ll just continue dancing, smiling and smizing and moving our bodies throughout our day. We’re settling in really well together and I’m proud of them.

I thought baby boy and I were settling into our new home as well. But a face-time call to grandma and the rest of the family was too much for my poor babe. For 2 years and 10 months he’s known nothing less than Granny, and Grandma and Uncle and Auntie and Pompadour and…the list goes on, it really does. He’s been showered with love from the day he was born by so many, almost all of the time, practically on demand. So from that, to just him and I…it’s a lot. I feel for him, but also know that he’ll be ok. It helps that they’re a 3 min drive away if the light is green. 😅

Counting my blessings.
