Yay! I’m Reading Again: My 2018 Reads

Except for children’s books and readings for my Master’s programs, I hadn’t read a book in a long time. I used to read A LOT…but somewhere along the way I lost my way. I stopped reading. During my maternity leave, around when my baby boy was about six months I picked up a book and started reading again. Once I got going, I couldn’t stop. I joined the Goodreads reading challenge in February and set a goal to read 10 books for the remainder of 2018. From sometime in June (when I actually started reading) until December 31st, 2018 I actually met my goal and read 10 books.

My 2018 reads:

The Thing Around Your Neck by: Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

A page turner, I couldn’t put it down…!

Reading these ten books was a huge accomplishment for me and I’m so excited for all of the reading that 2019 is bringing me.

My goal for 2019 is to read at least 12 books. I’ve read five so far and am currently reading three, so I’m fairly confident I’ll surpass my goal.

What are your reading goals for 2019?

What are you reading now?

Reading reflectively,

Tamla
