He tries my patience like no one ever has. But for a brand new three year old I can reason with him surprisingly well.
I had to explain to the little guy today that after I pick him up from daycare, I’m really tired. Really really tired, and I just need him to help me out (meaning just listen to me and cooperate).
He listened, looked at me pensively, got up from eating his after dinner treat (a delicious home-baked apple treat made by yours truly – recipe c/o mamaearth) and said “Mama, I just need to give you a hug.” 😌
He does this sort of thing all 👏🏾 the 👏🏾 time 👏🏾. Constantly giving me reminders to just be cool…to just chill out. And I’m so thankful, because the reminders are needed. His hugs are needed.
