Daily Musings 88 “time to reflect”

If there’s one thing this pandemic has given us (me), it’s time….time to think, reflect, learn and maybe even grow if we’re paying attention.

I often feel like I never have enough time to do what I want and plan to do. And while that sad reality didn’t change, this year has provided me more time to reflect than ever before. I mean, what else do you do when everything’s locked down? 🤷🏾‍♀️

Time spent with and within yourself is important for growth and in lieu of dance rehearsals, meetings, socials and whatever other commitments I might have usually had; I had time. Time with my babe, my family and lastly, myself. Time to walk, and to breathe. Time without any distractions, without an onslaught of different energies competing for my attention. A break from the noise that often comes with socializing.

Whether I wanted to sit with my thoughts and feelings or not, that’s what this year gave me time to do. And so, on this 17th last day of 2020, I am grateful for the time I’ve been given to reflect.

What did 2020 give you more time for?
