When you read several of the official letters from public about the details surrounding your mandatory self-isolation, the situation becomes very real.
They kept telling us to be ready to pivot to online learning at any given moment. Well that moment was this afternoon and I’m not at all ready.
My little guy loves Halloween. He’s been obsessed with it for a while and I think the fascination began with pumpkins. Just recently he refused to nap if not with his pumpkin.
Learned yesterday that report cards are due on Monday. I’ve known my 25 students for less than 3 weeks.
It’s Canadian Library Month and I’m missing my favourite place.
I wasn’t feeling very well yesterday, so I made sure to tell my two year old son as we walked to our new home. I told him I wasn’t feeling good and asked him if he’d take care of me. And he really did. He had mercy on me the entire evening and night.
Later, I snapped at my students and made a munchkin cry. Poor thing was visibly upset when her grownup picked her up after school. She told her grownup that the teacher hurt her. 😔 I told her grownup that I did hurt her. I hurt her feelings 😭
Between the little guy and I, it can become quite the battle of wills.
Whenever I go somewhere or do something I return home having gained something special.
Every time I type literally in my writing, I think of my mother and erase it.
